With a new year just around the corner we're all looking forward to the exciting promise it holds, wondering where the next 365 days will take us. Before we venture into 2023 we're taking a moment to reflect on an incredible year at St. Eval. 

We are honoured to have won Most Sustainable Organisation at the 2022 Cornwall Sustainability Awards! People and planet lie at the very heart of St. Eval, and Cornwall's close connection with the coast, countryside and nature is deeply rooted in everything we do as a business. In 2015 we were so proud to win Best Managed Medium Business at the CSA, and we are honoured to receive this latest award and be recognised by our Cornish community in this way; it's a true testament to our team who are the driving force behind our success in sustainability.

We are committed to treading softly on the Earth, creating beautiful pieces with a focus on sustainability. In July 2022, we officially became a Certified B Corporation, legally embedding our commitment to placing purpose beyond profit in all company endeavours. In celebration of our new B Corp Certification and as a thank you to our wonderful customers for your support, we’ve teamed up with four amazing B Corps for a spectacular Christmas giveaway full of wonderful prizes.

In May we were incredibly proud to launch our Love, Hope & Freedom Collection in collaboration with Falmouth University and UK charity Unseen. We made our donation last week and we are so delighted to share that we donated an incredible £6,251! PLUS, as we donated during 'The Big Give' week, this was match funded and DOUBLED to £12,502!

Last month, Goals House were in New York, joining the UN General Assembly (UNGA) as they gathered to discuss some of the most important issues of our time. As a supporter of Goals House, we were delighted to collaborate with them, creating a special collaborative candle to fragrance the event.

Here at St. Eval we feel truly blessed to live and work closely surrounded by the stunning Cornish outdoors, and we’re lucky to have such a gorgeous source of inspiration right on our doorstep. We are constantly conjuring up new and exciting fragrances, taking our inspiration from the beauty of nature and our close affinity with the natural world. After a meadow of wild camomile was discovered on the farm here at St. Eval, we couldn’t help but be inspired by this wonderful scent and we created Camomile Lawn to evoke the wonderful feelings of joy that come from being surrounded by pretty wildflowers in summertime. 

We are delighted to announce our certification as a B Corporation (or B Corp), joining a growing group of companies reinventing business by pursuing purpose as well as profit. We have been certified by B Lab, the not-for-profit behind the B Corp movement, as having met rigorous social and environmental standards which represent our commitment to goals outside of shareholder profit.

On Tuesday the 28th June we hosted a grand opening of our new factory, office expansion, wildlife conservation area and pond. While we celebrated this next step for our business we were honoured to have had our 2021 Queen's Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development presented to us, and we opened our factory doors to St. Eval friends and neighbours to help us celebrate this wonderful event.
