Production Operative

Job title: Production Operative 
Reporting to: Production Manager  
Working hours: 40 Hours per week, working; Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, including a 15minute paid tea break and a 30minute unpaid lunch break. And Fridays: 8:00am to 2:00pm, including a 15minute paid tea break 
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £13.45 per hour 

We are looking for a reliable and detail focused individual to join our Production team and play a key role in supporting efficient daytoday operations. The role involves following processes, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to the smooth and safe production of goods in line with production targets.

Responsibilities:  

  • Work in line with Production Orders and Bills of Materials to ensure accurate output
  • Accurately load and feed raw materials into production machinery
  • Assemble products efficiently on production lines
  • Monitor production processes to ensure quality and accuracy standards are consistently met
  • Carry out basic quality checks and testing in line with procedures
  • Wrap, label, and pack finished goods to a high standard
  • Store raw materials and finished goods correctly within the warehouse
  • Use lifting and transportation equipment safely and as instructed to fulfil orders
  • Accurately pick and pack goods for dispatch
  • Maintain work areas, equipment, and production lines to a high standard
  • Ensure production areas are kept clean, tidy, and compliant with hygiene standards
  • Identify and report quality issues promptly to the appropriate team member or line manager
  • Support other production and operational activities as required by the line manager
