Welcoming the Rocket Bee Hive to St Eval

Welcoming the Rocket Bee Hive to St Eval

In a quiet corner of our Cornish home, nestled by the pond and framed by wild grasses, something beautiful has arrived.

Last week, we welcomed a Rocket Bee Hive to St Eval - not a hive for honey, but a sculptural sanctuary crafted especially for our native wild bees. Hand-built and thoughtfully designed, it offers shelter, safety, and the promise of a thriving future for one of nature’s most vital pollinators.

Unlike traditional hives, the Rocket Hive isn't for harvesting. It's a haven. A place where wild bees can live undisturbed, woven gently into the landscape we cherish.

A Celebration of Wildness

Our connection to the natural world has always been at the heart of everything we do - from the inspiration behind our fragrances to the way we craft each candle with care and intention. The arrival of this hive is a continuation of that journey. A small but meaningful step toward nurturing the biodiversity that surrounds us.

The hive now stands peacefully beside our pond, part sculpture, part symbol - a quiet testament to the beauty of giving nature the space it needs.

And the response was immediate. Within hours of settling it into place, wild bees arrived - curious, purposeful, as if they’d known all along that this space was theirs.

If You Build It, They Will Come

We believe deeply in the power of nature to heal, restore, and inspire. In giving it a home, we’re not just supporting our local ecosystem - we’re celebrating it.

This new sanctuary is a reminder that even the smallest actions can have a ripple effect. That when we create space for the wild to thrive, it often rewards us in the most extraordinary ways.

So as the bees explore their new home and the seasons unfold around them, we’ll be watching, quietly and gratefully, as this tiny sanctuary buzzes with life.

Because sometimes, all it takes is an open heart and a place to land.
