Job title: Operations Data Analyst

Hours: Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Fridays, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The position follows a hybrid working model, with three days required in-office and two days working remotely each week.
Salary: £32,000 to £37,000, DOE
We are looking for a proactive, data-driven individual to join our Technology team and play a key role across planning, data analysis, and technology support. Using modern tools and AI-driven systems, you will help ensure the business runs efficiently from production through to sales.
The role will focus on production and stock planning, providing clear reports and practical insights to support effective management of raw materials and finished goods. This work directly informs purchasing decisions, production planning, sales activity and stock control.

Essential experience
- Demonstrable experience with AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, automation platforms) including a good grasp of their operation, how to create effective prompts, interpret outputs, and recognise limitations.
- An appetite for learning, and enthusiasm for emerging AI developments.
- Comfortable working with data (Excel, BI tools, dashboards, ERP systems, SQL).
- Strong attention to detail and organisation skills.
- Basic understanding of IT infrastructure (networking, hardware, software setup).
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
Highly Desirable
- Experience with BI or reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
- Exposure to ERP systems (e.g. SAP Business One) or planning/inventory tools.
- Understanding of supply chain, operations, or e-commerce sales channels.
- Experience building or maintaining data pipelines, integrations, or structured reporting infrastructure.
- Familiarity with SQL or data query languages for working directly with underlying data sources.
Key responsibilities
Planning, Stock & Purchasing
- Facilitate day to day planning across purchasing, production scheduling, logistics and fulfilment.
- Develop systems & processes to ensure timely availability of raw material, components, and finished goods at appropriate locations throughout all channels.
- Monitor inventory levels, proactively identify potential shortages or surplus risks, and coordinate information flow between purchasing, production, warehouse, and sales departments.
- Maintain accurate data within the ERP system (SAP Business One) and associated planning tools, ensuring data integrity underpins all planning decisions.
Data Analysis
- Utilise AI tools and systems throughout planning and analysis process to:
- Generate accurate demand forecasts
- Facilitate scenario planning
- Identify potential inventory risks
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports, primarily in Power BI, that give teams timely, accurate visibility of key metrics, volume trends, and performance against plan.
- Support forecasting, variance analysis, and performance tracking at SKU, channel, and customer level, with a particular emphasis on stock flow and demand patterns.
- Use data to surface opportunities, risks, and constraints across the business - translating findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Support the development and maintenance of the data layer connecting our ERP, e-commerce platform (Shopify), and reporting tools (Power BI).
- Assist in building reliable data structures and reporting pipelines that reduce reliance on manual data extraction and ad hoc spreadsheets.
- Document data definitions, report logic, and system processes to support consistency and knowledge transfer across the team.
On-Site Technology Support
- Provide first-line support for user hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Working alongside our external IT partner for more complex issues.
- Assist with network maintenance, troubleshooting, and infrastructure upkeep.
- Support the setup, configuration, and deployment of new technology solutions across the business.
- Maintain IT equipment register to support effective asset management and ensure adequate technical inventory is available to the business.
Continuous Improvement
- Support the rollout of new tools, systems, and processes to include the exploration of new AI tools that can enhance planning, analysis, and operational capabilities.
- Contribute to building a more data-driven, technology-enabled operation - identifying process gaps and proposing practical improvements.
Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with the Head of Technology to optimise operational activities and ensure alignment with business priorities.
- Work cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and commercial teams.
- Communicate planning insights, data findings, and technology updates clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
