Terms and Conditions

Thank you for visiting the St Eval website. By placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, which comply with current online shopping regulations. Please read the following carefully, as they contain important information about your rights and obligations.

1. General

1.1 We reserve the right to change, modify, substitute, or remove any information on this website at any time without prior notice.
1.2 The images of the products on our website are for illustrative purposes only. Due to the handmade nature of our candles, items may vary slightly in colour or finish from those shown or described.

2. Products

2.1 All goods are subject to availability. We will endeavour to inform you as soon as possible if any products in your order become unavailable.
2.2 Please note that each candle is handmade, and small variations or imperfections are part of their unique character.

3. Promotions & Discount Codes

3.1 Promotions and discount codes are offered subject to the details and validity periods stated in the individual offer.
3.2 Discount codes are for single-use only, limited to one per customer/email address, and cannot be combined with other promotional codes.
3.3 Additional discounts such as free shipping remain valid if the defined order value conditions are met.

4. Competitions

4.1 Competitions will run for the time period stated in each specific competition.
4.2 Entry is free, and eligibility requirements (if any) will be detailed in the specific competition terms.
4.3 Winners will have 48 hours from notification to claim their prize. If unclaimed, we reserve the right to select an alternative winner.

5. Customer Feedback

5.1 We may share your name, email address, and the product you purchased with our review partner, Feefo. They may then email you on our behalf to request a review.
5.2 We value your feedback to help improve our products and services, and to assist future customers in making informed decisions.
5.3 You may unsubscribe from review requests at any time using the link provided in the Feefo email.

6. Liability

6.1 St. Eval Candle Company will not be liable for any loss or damage (direct, indirect, or consequential) resulting from failure to follow product safety instructions or from misuse of our products.
6.2 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall limit or exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

7. Breakage Claims, Incorrect Orders, and Goods Not Received

7.1 If goods supplied are damaged or incorrect, you must notify us by 4:00 pm on the day after delivery.
7.2 Retain all original transit packaging and damaged items until the issue is reported and a resolution is agreed upon.
7.3 You may sign for a delivery as "damaged" if the box arrives in poor condition or refuse the order, which will then be returned to us. In both cases, you must still inform us by 4:00 pm the next working day.
7.4 If goods are not received within 7 working days of the order/invoice date, please notify us immediately.
7.5 Notifications of breakage, incorrect orders, or non-delivery must be made by email (info@st-eval.com) or phone (01841 540850) and specify if you prefer replacements or a refund.
7.6 Once these conditions are met, our obligation is to arrange for replacement of undelivered or damaged goods. Refunds will be provided at our discretion.

8. Back Orders

8.1 While we strive to maintain sufficient stock of all items, we cannot guarantee availability at all times.
8.2 We reserve the right not to dispatch small back orders if it is uneconomical for us to do so. In such cases, we will inform you and offer alternative options.

9. Payments

9.1 We accept online payment via Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Switch, and Solo.
9.2 Cheque orders will not be processed until payment has cleared.
9.3 All prices include VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to amend prices without prior notice.
9.4 The total cost of your order (including delivery charges) will be displayed during checkout and on your order confirmation. The price shown in pounds sterling (GBP) is the amount you will pay.

10. Order Cancellation

10.1 You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of delivery by notifying us via email (info@st-eval.com) or phone (01841 540850).
10.2 After cancellation, you have an additional 14 days to return the goods in their unused, original condition.
10.3 If the entire order is returned, we will also refund the initial outbound shipping charges.
10.4 You are responsible for any postage costs incurred when returning goods to us.
10.5 A refund will only be issued after the returned items have been inspected and confirmed to be in perfect, unused condition.

11. Governing Law

11.1 These Terms and Conditions and any contract formed under them are governed by English Law.
11.2 The English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms and Conditions.
11.3 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights.

We take every care to accurately describe items. However, due to the handmade nature of our candles, slight variations in color, size, or finish may occur.
