Investing in Our Future: St Eval Awarded Shared Prosperity Fund Grant

Investing in Our Future: St Eval Awarded Shared Prosperity Fund Grant

We’re pleased to announce that we’ve been awarded funding through the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF), delivered locally by Cornwall Council as part of the Good Growth Programme. This funding marks a new chapter for us - one rooted in sustainability, innovation and our continued commitment to community.

With this support, we’re breathing new life into our original factory. It’s where our story began, and now, it’s set to be transformed into a modern, energy-efficient space that supports both people and planet. The project includes a full refurbishment of the building to meet modern standards, alongside improved insulation, which will allow us to install air conditioning to create a more comfortable and productive space for our team throughout the year.

We’re also expanding our renewable energy capabilities. With the installation of an additional 75 kilowatts of Solar PV panels and 150 kWh of battery storage, we’ll be moving significantly closer to energy self-sufficiency - a big leap forward on our journey to reducing our carbon footprint and treading more lightly on the Earth.

To support continued growth and maintain our high standards, we’re automating key parts of our production line, including a new automated labelling system. This step helps secure local jobs and ensures we can scale sustainably without compromising on quality.

This project is part-funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. Cornwall Council manages the fund locally via the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Good Growth Programme.

We’re incredibly proud to be investing in our future. As ever, our mission remains the same: scent seekers and candle makers of Cornwall dedicated to the lasting impact of positive change for people and planet.

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund proactively supports delivery of the UK-government’s five
national missions: pushing power out to communities everywhere, with a specific focus to
help kickstart economic growth and promoting opportunities in all parts of the UK.
