The Joys of Christmas Shopping

The Joys of Christmas Shopping

We are welcoming December with open arms.  With only a few weeks until Christmas, we are delighted to be able to support our local independent shops by shopping in person safely again. Christmas shopping is guaranteed to get you in the spirit, surrounded with decorations, lights and everyone cosy in their warm clothes truly kickstarts the Christmassy feeling.

This time of year sees local towns and cities dressed with wonderful festive decorations, Christmas songs filling the streets and a true sense of community in the air. From visiting Santa’s Grotto in your local garden centre, to visiting a local Christmas market, this time of year is truly magical.

We all have an important role to play in keeping everyone safe when shopping in person.

Please remember to:

  1. Maintain social distancing and adopt “hands-space-face”
  2. Follow safety advice inside and outside shops
  3. Consider when you shop and take advantage of extended opening hours - try to avoid peak times where possible
  4. Respect our hardworking shopworkers.

Buying products from British brands will help both the local and national economy. Many shops are offering extended opening hours and click and collect services as well as home delivery. If you don’t want to visit in person, it’s definitely worth contacting your favourite local independent shops to see if they can accommodate sales over the phone or see if they have a website.

Saturday 5th December is Small Business Saturday UK. We want to take a moment to thank all of our wonderful stockists up and down the country for helping bring St. Eval to customers far and wide. Without your continued love and support, we wouldn't be where we are today.

This year has been incredibly tough for everyone and your local independent businesses need your support now more than ever. They are the heart of our local communities, they help to breathe life into our high streets and play a key role in keeping our local economies thriving.  This December and beyond, if you can, please #ShopLocal and #SupportSmall.
