2022 Cornwall Sustainability Award Winners!
We are honoured to have won 'Most Sustainable Organisation' at the 2022 Cornwall Sustainability Awards!
People and planet lie at the very heart of St. Eval, and Cornwall's close connection with the coast, countryside and nature is deeply rooted in everything we do as a business.
In 2015 we were so proud to win 'Best Managed Medium Business' at the Cornwall Sustainability Awards (CSA), and we are honoured to receive this latest award and be recognised by our Cornish community in this way; it's a true testament to our team who are the driving force behind our success in sustainability.
The Cornwall Sustainability Awards have been running since 2002 when they were launched by Sir Jonathon Porritt. Having consistently grown over the years, CSA has become Cornwall's leading initiative for rewarding and celebrating enterprises for their contribution to environmental growth and resource efficiency.
A few members of the St. Eval team attended the ceremony on Friday and had a fantastic evening amongst so many inspiring companies leading the way in sustainable business. The evening was opened by The Lord Lieutenant Col Edward Bolitho, and featured keynote speeches from explorer Robin Hanbury-Tenison, and yachtswoman Nikki Henderson, who skippered La Vagabonde, the yacht used by Greta Thunberg to travel sustainably to the COP summit in Madrid.
We were presented with a beautiful award, which was made from disposed-of PPE from Treliske Hospital, and reclaimed wood by Water Haul.
Congratulations to everyone who entered, and our fellow category winners Finisterre (Circular Business Economy), Cabilla Cornwall (Environmental Growth), Wadebridge Renewable Energy Network (Carbon Neutral) and Hillside Farm (Growing Greener - Sustainable Food and Farming).
