March was a month of celebration and reflection as we embraced B Corp Month, a time to highlight our commitment to sustainable practices and positive change. This year's theme, 'This Way Forward,' inspired us to share our journey and aspirations across five key categories: Governance, People, Community, Environment, and Customers.

As we navigate through the intricate world of home décor, there’s an art that transcends the simple act of setting a table for a meal. It’s called tablescaping, and it’s a beautiful fusion of creativity, style and functionality. At the heart of this art lies the power of details, from colour and functionality to scent and ambience. Whether you're hosting an intimate meal for two or a larger gathering for friends and family, set the scene and delight your guests this Easter.

Here at St. Eval, we are blessed to be located in Cornwall's beautiful natural landscape. The 5th of March holds special significance as St. Piran’s Day, where we celebrate the magical wonders that the great Saint created and rediscovered. Legend has it, upon arriving on the Cornish coast, St Piran stumbled upon the discovery of tin, a pivotal moment that propelled tin mining into becoming one of Cornwall’s leading industries for centuries. This discovery also led to the creation of the iconic black-white flag, now synonymous with Cornwall itself.

Held every year on the 8th of June by The United Nations, World Oceans Day is devoted to sharing the importance of the ocean, highlighting our duty to use its resources sustainably and championing collaborative conservation. 

At St. Eval, our values are focused on keeping traditions alive and treading softly on the earth. This World Environment Day, we’re raising awareness and inciting action to protect our environment. Dedicated to being a force for good and a voice for change, we wanted to take this opportunity to celebrate our sustainability journey so far, to look toward the future, and to share a few ways we can all make a difference this World Environment Day.

B Corp Month has been an amazing opportunity to not only celebrate this milestone achievement in our sustainability journey, but also to share more about what it truly means to be a B Corporation. We're closing out the month by thinking on how we can all go beyond, incorporating the B Corp movement into our daily lives in order to have an impact.

Achieving our verified status as a B Corporation in August 2022 was an incredible milestone in our sustainability journey; a journey that has spanned nearly 30 years, since St. Eval was first founded. We are still maintaining the same traditional methods of candle making and finding inspiration in the stunning Cornish coast and countryside around us. With this beautiful source of inspiration right on our doorstep, we are constantly inspired and see it as our great duty and privilege to be able to go beyond, giving back to nature and protecting the world around us.
