March was a month of celebration and reflection as we embraced B Corp Month, a time to highlight our commitment to sustainable practices and positive change. This year's theme, 'This Way Forward,' inspired us to share our journey and aspirations across five key categories: Governance, People, Community, Environment, and Customers.

Here at St. Eval, we are blessed to be located in Cornwall's beautiful natural landscape. The 5th of March holds special significance as St. Piran’s Day, where we celebrate the magical wonders that the great Saint created and rediscovered. Legend has it, upon arriving on the Cornish coast, St Piran stumbled upon the discovery of tin, a pivotal moment that propelled tin mining into becoming one of Cornwall’s leading industries for centuries. This discovery also led to the creation of the iconic black-white flag, now synonymous with Cornwall itself.

Celebrating nature's enchanting simplicity, seasonal transition and sustainability, we were delighted to collaborate and attend Sophie's Flowers's stunning sustainable floral workshop. Hosted at the astonishing natural haven Cabilla Cornwall, we embraced the flower power in honour of two incredible Cornish charities, Thousand Year Trust and Cornwall Wildlife Trust. 

Today marks the start of Plastic Free July, an initiative of the Plastic Free Foundation working towards their incredible vision of a world free of plastic waste. Inspired by nature and our beautiful surroundings here in Cornwall, we are passionate about reducing our plastic consumption. We're so proud to have our efforts recognised by Surfers Against Sewage who awarded us Plastic Free Champions status in our local community. Held every year on the 8th of June by The United Nations, World Oceans Day is devoted to sharing the importance of the ocean, highlighting our duty to use its resources sustainably and championing collaborative conservation. 

At St. Eval, our values are focused on keeping traditions alive and treading softly on the earth. This World Environment Day, we’re raising awareness and inciting action to protect our environment. Dedicated to being a force for good and a voice for change, we wanted to take this opportunity to celebrate our sustainability journey so far, to look toward the future, and to share a few ways we can all make a difference this World Environment Day.

We are delighted to announce the launch of an exciting three-year partnership with Cornwall Wildlife Trust, beginning an incredible journey that we hope will lead to introducing beavers at Helman Tor nature reserve.
