As the May bank holiday approaches, it's the perfect time to embrace the exhilarating and refreshing experience of wild sea swimming in Cornwall.

Every May, the Mental Health Foundation invites us to join in Mental Health Awareness Week, a time to shine a light on the issues that matter most for our mental wellbeing. They use this special occasion to start conversations about topics that affect us all, hoping to build understanding, support, and positive change in how we view and tackle mental health challenges. 

Here at St. Eval, we are blessed to be located in Cornwall's beautiful natural landscape. The 5th of March holds special significance as St. Piran’s Day, where we celebrate the magical wonders that the great Saint created and rediscovered. Legend has it, upon arriving on the Cornish coast, St Piran stumbled upon the discovery of tin, a pivotal moment that propelled tin mining into becoming one of Cornwall’s leading industries for centuries. This discovery also led to the creation of the iconic black-white flag, now synonymous with Cornwall itself.

Held every year on the 8th of June by The United Nations, World Oceans Day is devoted to sharing the importance of the ocean, highlighting our duty to use its resources sustainably and championing collaborative conservation.
