On Tuesday the 28th June we hosted a grand opening of our new factory, office expansion, wildlife conservation area and pond. While we celebrated this next step for our business we were honoured to have had our 2021 Queen's Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development presented to us, and we opened our factory doors to St. Eval friends and neighbours to help us celebrate this wonderful event.

World Environment Day is held on the 5^th of June each year by the United Nations, bringing attention to global environmental issues and calling for collective action to celebrate, protect and restore our planet. This year’s theme is Only One Earth, an initiative aimed at protecting our planet and ensuring that it’s healthy and thriving for future generations. In recognition of this important awareness day, we’ve put together this guide full of tips for living more sustainably.

At St. Eval, we’re inspired by the beauty of the natural world and we feel keenly the responsibility that falls on us, both as individuals and as a company, to Invest in Our Planet and make choices that preserve and protect it for future generations. Earth Day asks us to ‘practice a simple act of green everyday’ and incorporate sustainable practices into our everyday lives in order to make a real difference. We’ve put together this blog, inspired by Earth Day’s important work, recommending some of the simple acts of green that we can all incorporate into our everyday lives.

On Saturday 26th March at 8:30pm we took part in WWF's annual Earth Hour, switching off our lights along with millions of people across the globe in a moment of solidarity to support people and planet. Earth Hour is an amazing initiative raising awareness for climate change, and following on from this years' switch off we're taking its inspiring message of climate consciousness further and finding more small changes that can help us live more sustainably.

Following the important conversations sparked by COP26 about our changing climate, we all have a heightened awareness of our impact on the planet and for many of us we're leaving 2021 determined to make our live a little more sustainable. Christmas can be the hardest time of year to remain conscious of our environmental impact, so we've put together some simple ideas that will make for a more sustainable Christmas, without sacrificing any of the fun.
